In 1963, Ken and Margaret Taylor started Tyndale House Foundation so royalty income from Scripture could support God's work. Since Living Letters was God's Word, they decided any royalty income should be considered God's money.
Through the Foundation, royalties from Living Letters, The Living Bible, and the New Living Translation have been distributed to mission organizations worldwide.
Donate Get Started NowAfter Living Letters became a bestseller through early partnership with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, the Taylors founded the Foundation to give royalties away.
In 2001, Ken and Margaret transferred ownership of Tyndale House Publishers to the Foundation, strengthening long-term grantmaking and ministry partnerships.
Since 1963, the Foundation has distributed over $110 million through grants and program spending — supporting translation, literature, education, discipleship, and aid.
